Amazon provide a good service, nice bookFor anyone who is interested on hand tools, this is a must. It's a great reference that helps identify a huge range of hand tools from the past. Even though this reprint is smaller in dimension than the original hardback its is great value for money. Salaman's tool collection is in St Albans England and is full of interesting tools.very good lots of illustrationsVery informative, used it as a reference during a series of videos I created.Thorough, informative, good illustrations. The book is great as a reference, and good for just enjoyable reading. I own one, and just bought three to give as gifts. For the price, this dictionary is a must for any manual woodworker.Pour le prix, une référence impressionnante sur les outils manuels.Excellent bookThe book has good descriptions and nice drawings.Great book, fascinating.I am very happy with the content, it is great. But I am rather disappointed by the print quality, it is very mediocre, the images are washed out (more grey than proper black) and the text is also not very sharp with serifs rounded over. Page numbers are not exactly at the same position (as they should), but rather ‘somewhere at the bottom left or somewhere at the bottom right’. Also, the paper is not really nice book-quality paper, but more like your average laser printer paper. At the last page it says ‘Printed by BoD™ in Norderstedt, Germany’. I looked it up, and it confirmed my fears: BoD stands for Books on Demand. The book that I received looks like it is ‘printed’ on a photocopier from the 1980s.I have mailed the publisher (Astragal Press) the above, with a few additional questions. I am awaiting an answer.
